These little bastards sure are hard workers!
So beside my property there's a right of way for public access to the lake. It's just a narrow strip of land maybe 10' wide between my house & my neighbours.
So I may have mentioned on the forum before that our Blue Heeler made friends with these 2 beavers. I chases after them in the lake & they just toy with him. So I knew they were busy over in the creek on the edge of my property but didn't really see any damage. There was a bunch of debris in the creek that I've dredged out a few times & do I figured that was the extent of their ability.
So today, I'm driving in the driveway & something caught my eye. Looked like someone had been cutting firewood??? Tons of wood chips everywhere on the easement? So I got out of my truck & walked down'yikes!!!!
So there's at least 5 trees down & completely gone. No idea where they put them or how they moved them. Probably 5' caliper & I dunno'maybe 35' high? How would two of them move those???
So next I see a huge 3' diameter 150' tree'man! You gotta see what they've done!!
So they've cut half the tree away! Like pretty sure a good wind would take it down now & they've taken the side of the tree directly in line with my neighbours house!! Like this tree will take out their whole house!
Even worse'this is a summer home for them and they aren't even around! Guess I gotta take charge & call the district to come deal with it.
