That doesn't really sound like the gear rollover I am familiar with. I have a 2004 Chevy with a zfs6 transmission with a solid flywheel. It never rattles in neutral and the noise is only really noticable at low engine rpm, lugging in too high of a gear. I was under the impression it is always there but older cast iron transmissions the iron absorbs the noise. Aluminum does not. I did a single disk clutch and a friend with an 06 Dodge did a double disk. His rattles in neutral and I believe the double disk clutch is known to do this. Honestly I haven't watched the links yet but I have seen some misinformation on gear rollover. It really isn't that objectionable and it would probably go unnoticed in an old truck compared to other noises. Only reason I notice it at all is that the truck is fairly quiet. Also really to experience it you need to downshift anyway. It is probably hard on the engine to lug it that much.
