Hoping to also hear from others with a vintage PW or military that may have experienced this sound.
I have NEVER before in any of my other trucks to date.
As I wrote, I have completely dismantled and built back up this 1/2 ton tranny. There is nothing in the tranny that was “questionable” as to wear and or bad parts.
All parts look great inside.
besides, these damn things weren’t exactly high tolerance stuff to begin with!!
I just can’t figure out what else it COULD be.
I’ve checked everything and replaced all parts there.
It’s just crazy to me.
