Hi all,

Well, my 1941 Dodge WC-12 is finally just about done. Well, its done enough to start taking it places. Its now registered and insured for the road.

I will be driving it for the first time any decent distances now that I can legally drive it on a road here in Texas.

I would like to attend Pat and Wanda's! event and bring it, but I aint driving it to Pat and Wanda's!

I got two problems:

1) I dont own a trailer, never did and cannot because of space limitations at home
2) I never trailered a heavy truck anywhere before! (Ya see, in Massachusetts, the entire state wasnt big enough to actually have to haul! One could get to any one point from another in a few hours! I think the distance from Plano, TX (My home to Pat and Wanda's exceed the length of Massachusetts!!!) Ha!

Anyway, my daily driver is a 4x4 F-150 with the 5.4 motor, towing package w/ reciever hitch, automatic tranny cooler, etc, etc so I know it can handle pulling.

My first question is, can I rent trailers big enough to pull my wc-12 1/2 ton military pickup? Where? U-haul? Others?

Secondly, when you do rent a trailer, does it come with the proper tie donws and straps and such? (do I sound green or what???!!)

Also, any tips on pulling something like this?

Max speed? Cornering? Anything at all.

Like I said, I want to attend Pat and Wanda's upcoming event, and wish to take the truck. Dont wish to destroy it in a trailering accident within 1month of finisheing it either!

Any ideas/advise welcomed.
