I wouldn't worry too much about the rust, if you have been running the TC and it has run quietly, I wouldn't be too concerned. Although the gears may be pitted, the hard casing on the teeth is deep, so unless you see galling or otherwise a rough surface on the teeth, they’ll be good for a good long time. The big thing is the side play on the input/output shafts, if you grab the yokes and you can feel side play, I would be more concerned about that and would consider rebuilding. As far a parts, bearings and seals are not problem, the input shaft from the tranny is more difficult to find, driven gears are easy to locate from various sources and eBay so that shouldn’t be a problem. If you can’t find a part, we can help.
