After trying to tell myself everything will be alright with my fuel tank i have faced the fact that it is going on 75 years old. The rebuild on the original square top is about five months old and with good in line filters but now i think most of my carb problems are down stream. No big chunks of anything in either sediment bowl or visible in filter but this is what i found in carb bowl. Just a even coloration of what looks like rust color. All new lines but i'm sure tank is sending it this way. Just went through carb. again with one day cook in tank and i don't want to be doing this every five months or so what are recommendation on fuel tank? Vintage Power Wagons if they are in stock. Make new tank or cut top out of old tank, sand blast, tig in top then seal tank. My friend just did this to his '48 and it turned out real good but a lot of work. I apologize for an almost everyday event but this Power Wagon is worse than and airplane so i guess "Progressive Maintenance" is the words to use.
