What are y’all getting for mileage?
I’m talking about a wc52 3/4 ton, stock Truck.
Kinda same weight and axle ratios as the civy PW?
I’m currently running off of a small temporary tank so I can see exactly what I’m using.
A short trip up and down my neighborhood hill and back and I’m using a lot!
My guess is at this rate of fuel use is I’m seeing about 2.5 MPG!
I did a quick rebuild on the Carter ETW1 stock carb.. seems to run ok. Idles a bit rough so not sure I got the float level just perfect though.
Has less power than I’d expect for this truck with stock gearing too
I’m not new to these trucks. My fully restored wc12 1/2 ton has much more power than this climbing a grade, and surely gets much better gas mileage too!!
Any ideas where to start to gain mileage?
I’m thinking I’m limited to a carb rebuild and some tuning but will that really give me much better mileage than what I’m seeing?
