When rebuilding your flatheads, do most of you guys reuse your connecting rod bolts?

Also, do you ever polish out the nicks and gouges on your bolts? My bolts have material scraped up to the underside of the heads from being pressed into the rods, leaving burrs or balls of material. The underside of the head is a common failure location in any bolt, and I'm thinking these burrs only make it worse (stress risers). I'm tempted to polish out these burrs but I'm also nervous to touch that area of the bolt.
