Here’s the biggest issues with front & rear oil leaking. So the original seals as you likely know are leather & they all swap no matter how long you soak them or whatever ritual you have. They seep, you top the oil levels every once in a while...they never lose a ton of oil till they need rebuilding.
So the new seals are great in new stuff however what I find is the yikes on our trucks are rough castings & they're porous. They rough & they eat up modern seals.
So if you want to run them you need to speedy sleeve them no matter how smooth they look or even NOS.
That’s my take on them & so if you like leak free, buy the new seals from DC & then buy yourself the proper size speedi sleeve & don’t stop at the rear ends...keep on going because the Tcase is probably just as bad.
That will fix them as good as a new car if your gears are in good adjustment.
