Out at the Iowa Rally once, I drove a flatfender PW with the dual carbs. If I recall it also had the split exhaust headers too. Not sure about the cam.
The set up did make a difference; the truck did accelerate in a manner that was noticible.
I also recently drove an otherwise fairly stock PW with a 2 barrel carb. It also had more pep.
If it’s a good deal and one is not a purest as far as everything being stock, it might be a good thing to do.
