Hi Milo,

I've wondered if a slant six carb would work as well, glad you found it does. I think the overall venturi is a little smaller than the original 251 carburetor though? Not by much though.

I'm thinking 2 barrel like the Carter BBD that was on the 273 or even the later 225 slant sixes from later in the 1970s or even that Weber Progressive 2 barrel that VPW sells. I was looking for that extra kick when I hit the gas peddle.

I think I would have to have a different distributor, something that has a 2 barrel carburetor advance curve though?

Don't know if it would make it like a more modern engine on takeoff or not either? I'm thinking so.
