When I got my truck someone had put a slant 6 carb on it and it did not run good. I got the original carb with the deal. I rebuilt the carb with a new kit installed it and it ran ok but idled rough also had to run the mixture screw in also did not have to use the choke much or it would flood. I took it apart a couple times to see what was up and found someone must have enlarged or put larger jets in. So I looked at the slant 6 carb and the bottom half with the jets in looked the same so I installed the lower half and reinstalled. Now the mixture screw works as it should and it starts with the choke as it should
