oil filter line routing

Digging through the archives I came across this post that is making me second guess myself. Is the routing on this correct?

The Mopar parts list 1947-1956 for Dodge Power Wagon, page 10-4, shows the top (return) line going to the lower oil galley with the 45 degree fitting and the bottom line (pressure) going to the upper galley with a 90 degree fitting.
