Hi Torvald,

I read your 265 engine thread below with great interest. I'm also working on fitting a 265 into my '49 Power Wagon, a project that has been dragging on for a loooong time for various reasons.

I have two questions about your setup:

1) What did you do in terms of the radiator, now that you have an engine that is 2" longer than the original 230? I've looked, stared, measured, consulted with others, etc., and I see no way to use the stock 230 radiator, even by modifying it (removing and rotating the upper tank, moving and shifting or flipping the side brackets, etc.). I'm thinking I will just go with a custom aftermarket radiator. I considered using a radiator from a 251-powered Power Wagon, but they are difficult to find.

2) Are you using a plain sheet metal crankshaft pulley, or are you using a harmonic balancer with rubber damper?
