Yes, try a mock-up of the 251 fan, pump and housing and see if it is within the magic number of 7 1/2". If it is you can pursue re-configuring of the 230 radiator, if not it's probably best to buy a 251 radiator. Be sure to post what you find with respect to spacing, I'm really curious.
