it is not recommended to just tie in a second battery unless it is within a few feet of the other battery unless you install an isolator or a blocking diode, otherwise if your engine stops and you restart it, the 150-200 amp draw will be shared by both batteries and the one with the longer lead wire will actually supply more current due to voltage drop in the wire, thus a #10 or #12 charge wir will fry and start a fire unless you block electrical current with a diode, thus it will only carry current from charging system to battery and will not allow reverse electrical flow.
