The insert nut or screw-mount nut is to give a new set screw something to grab on to after breaking off the old set screw? If you break off the set screw, the lock will come out? It would seem a remainder of the set screw would still be lodged in the flange, keeping the flange from moving and therefore the lock would still not move. I am not trying to be argumentative. I am just not seeing how breaking off the set screw will allow me to remove the flange or lock. There is something I am not understanding or seeing.
