What does “S/B” mean?

I had to cut 1/2 inch off my splined ends to fit without binding the diff from spinning after tourquing down the outer wheel hub flange nuts.

Anything less than the 1/2 inch caused binding.

So not sure how others who did this swap say they only cut off 1/4 inch.. unless they had shorter axle shafts from
some other application
