yes of course more than one way. I just am in the camp of less new parts needed with dual rocker pushrod hemi with crossover pushrod. the way the did the jeep was good except the one lobe for both valves. it actually kept the over head cam situation nice and narrow. but like your idea require many more parts than pushrod set up. you ever look at the jeep SOC when its apart?
it failed in the real world because of cracked heads between oil and water and blown headgaskets. with modern gaskets and better casting methods of today would have probably been reliable
