clutch stuck

Has anyone ever had their clutch stick to the flywheel and not release? I was working on my 50 yesterday and went to move it, started it up, and went to put it in gear and could not as the clutch seems to be stuck and won't release. trans was in neutral when I started it, depressed the clutch, and tried to put it in gear, and could not as all I got was grinding. got the tractor out and was able to move it back (mounting the new bed) but have never experienced any problem like that before. Just read a DIY fix online hope it works.
