I really need some help on the carburetor on my '48 B1PW. This truck had sit for a long time but inside before i got it. Cleaned tank, lines and got kit from VPW. Completely dissembled carb. and let it soak for 24 hrs and blew all passages with air and put it back together. I am running a test fuel tank so i know fuel is clean with new pump and inline filter. Started right up and takes throttle with no stumble at all but idles very rich, like blowing black smoke rich with mixture adjustment having no effect. I did not reset float and did not alter pump length as mentioned in kit but used old pump as it appeared alright and as i said no stumble when giving rapid throttle. Before i take it back off i would like to have some direction to look in rather than just a review of my obvious mistake. Thanks for and advise on this.
