Balance drive shaft

New to me 63 WM300 has a considerable vibration @ around 30 mph. Very low miles w new tires. It has what appears to be an almost new driveshaft but there are NO weights attached. I called Drivelines NW and a tech said that almost all driveshafts should be balanced. A couple of comments in the archives said that PW shafts don't need to be. Opinions?
