Got hold of them today, no clue what the issue was - they were short a bearing, which they no longer use - they upgraded to a more common and cheaper priced bearing. I got the bearing ordered from another place and it will not be cheap - by the time i am done the rebuild parts alone will run close to $750.oo Canadian. I am adding a site tube to the black box as well as relocating a seal - this was one of the first boxes they made and there seems to be a couple of short comings.
I suspect ordering a rebuild kit on line for a 241 and then sourcing the few parts that are not in the kit would be the way to go.
The quality of some of theses kits is questionable, I usually have a NP205 kit in my stock and the upside is they come with more seals than needed - the downside is some are single lip where double lip was used originally.
