Yea I understand the single story house. Mobility is is an issue for many when they hit their 60’s and later. Many of my friends have tried to find single story houses but can’t find anything new or in decent shape. They can find a 70’s or maybe an 80’s single but they basically need to be gutted. They just haven’t built any single story houses around here in years. Land is too expensive. All they are building are 3 or 4 story houses with 5’ side clearance and maybe a few feet in the back and very little in the front. My neighbor behind me decided it was cheaper to build a 100K elevator than buy a single story remodel it and then the moving and selling expenses.
