Be prepared for very heavy fuel consumption.
I had a 98, 2500 with the V10 and Auto Tranny.
Took it to the Iowa Rally early 2000's. The Ram, Gooseneck Trailer and my Carryall had a gross weight of 16,500 on CAT scales in Iowa. My fuel average was 5.8 miles per gallon. It pulled like a locomotive. When I got home I traded it on a new
Ram 2500 CTD. Same load and weight fuel then was in the 16's mpg.
