To accommodate the u-bolt threaded diameter.
I’m assuming your using a flat plate with 2 holes spaced to match u-bolt, on underside of the
Frame channel? Pipe section up against it.
Might need another flat plate on opposite side?
I would also double but the u-bolt, becuse as the wood spacer shrinks, the u-bolts will loosen
