I recently had my Transmission & T-Case completely rebuilt with NOS parts from DC Parts.
After driving it a few miles, the 'noise' that I expected to be gone was still there.
The Transmission & T-Case were 'pulled' again with NO evident problems.
After re-installing both units, It was suggested that I use a heavier grade of transmission lubricant, so I ordered a 5-Gal Pail of CHEVRON 600 Wt. "Steam Cylinder" Oil / Lubricant through my local Distributor.
I won't say the 'noises' went away, but it was far less than before the rebuild.
Before you go through the effort of another 'In & Out' try this heavier grade oil - It can't hurt.
