The only wire going to my pump is one to a solenoid on the back of the pump. Shut off solenoid? I certainly do not have the wax type KSB. I did find that the nut on the electrical connection to that solenoid had backed right off, I doubt that is the problem but it may be. Loctite and these motors seem to be close buddies. I have the Parts manual and the Spec manual for the b motor. I guess the shop manual is next on my list. I bought a whole van for the motor, 44,000 miles. Pretty sure from the documentation this is correct. The block has not had a repaint and the injector pump is untouched with all the related factory caps and what not. About to go connect the wire and run it for awhile.
They seem to have put a lot of VE pumps on these engines and only one transfer pump that I can see.
