Another New problem with my Dodge 2500 Ram 4x4 manual transmission. I put it in 4x4 with the lever on the floor and the light does not come on sometimes for a while few miles. Then with it in 4x4 the lever moves by itself sometimes and goes back into 2x4?? Real bad on icy roads just about slid off a hill going home last night cause it happen!! Now I watch the light all the time and hold it in bad spots that I could wreck if it shifts out of 4x4. This is total bull crap only 148,000 miles on the truck. Reading on the net there talking up to a $1,700.00+ repair, might be a servo motor, plastic bushing or what ever. A computer problem etc. That may be the fix for the Dodge 1500 smaller pick up also? Anyone had this happen to there trusty Dodge Ram yet?
