The 5-speed automatic transmission on my 2005 Power Wagon was a mandatory option. I was very embarrassed when I got stuck at the Georgia Rally because I could not get my new truck into low range,4x4.

Once I read the manual, I was able to show off by making rooster tails in the mud with all four wheels. Who would have thought I was supposed to stop, shift the transfer case into neutral, then shut off the engine, then shift the transfer case into low range, and then restart the engine?

I could have saved myself a lot of snickers if I had read the owner’s manual.

I believe the Power Wagon transfer case is different from the regular production transfer case. I will do some more homework on this.
