I've traveled Mexico, Central America, Asia, Philippines, and Indonesia. I've been asked by a Muslim with a gun and a badge at the port 'who are you voting for, McCain or Obama?' in 2008. Going through to Canada, I was set aside for an hour & half gun search going into BC. Same in Mexico.

When you leave your country, you are a guest, you are respectful, and you say 'yes sir, no sir'. You play by their rules, you know this, or you stay home. Anything else, and you aren't representing your country well abroad, and it might not end well.
