Believe me, every time I come into the US I have to deal with US Customs & it's rarely pleasant. I cross the border on average twice a week & the people that work there...I mean seriously, they really must be trained to try to get you to lose your cool. It takes every ounce of restraint I have to not go balistic & the only thing that controls me is knowing that even one rude remark out of me would guarrantee a very unpleasant experience.
The worst that ever happened...I arrive at the border, hand my passport & he asks me to turn off my truck & hand him the keys. He calmly tells me that there will be two men coming out to handcuff me & to go with them & leave the truck....WHAT????
They come, handcuff me & off to an interrogation room.
To make a very long story short, I'm questioned for 2 hours before a supervisor comes in...they've made a mistake...the officer punched one number of my license plate wrong into the computer & he thought I'd stollen the truck.
The supervisor tells me that I'm within my right to file a complaint if I like....ahhh...I think I'd just like to go on my way please!
You really can't win & yes, it would be a horrible job.
