Nowadays when you work on a car it's hard to see the human element in a modern vehicle. I know a lot of people have a hand in building a vehicle today but there is little evidence of that, it's kind of uniform and sterile. While working on my '55 FF, it's really cool to see the human hand in the construction. Little things, like an adjustment bolt arc welded by a worker, an imperfect gear ratio stamp on a differential, things like that. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate the modern wonders that technology brings but there is a loss of something there as well.

Anyone have other examples they've come across of a human hand from the original manufacture of their truck?
