It now reads only 6 mph slow, instead of the 11 before. The odometer should be dead on. The speedo would need internal regulation to get it better? They work by the cable spinning a magnet, which has some attraction to an aluminum disc. I'd guess a lube job, and move the magnet closer to the disc. Maybe some day... Hmm, I do have a spare to practice on... and I know the ratios of the gears involved, maybe can calibrate them on my drill press? My cable speed is 1/3.2 of engine speed, tire diameter is 40.5", rear end ration 5.83.... where is the claculator? And my stroboscope for the drill press rpm...and my little bitty hammer...
