Speeding in a flat fender Power Wagon

Last week I got pulled over as I delivered some aluminum sheet stock to a fabricator. I got out and asked what was wrong. The officer said I was speeding. I chuckled and asked "What?", incredulous. I thought maybe he just wanted to see the truck up close. He said I was going 50. I said, the truck doesn't go fifty. He said he clocked me right at fifty in a 35 zone. I said it's good news/ bad news, since I didn't think the truck would go that fast. He was cheerless, and went ahead and gave me a $140 ticket. I still feel like he might be wrong, so I'll write a nice letter to the judge about my 5,500 pound truck with the 78 net horsepower engine. I thought you guys would get a kick out of it.
