The M101a1 does not have surge brakes, although it does have drum park brakes. It uses FFPW/M37 Budd rims.

The M101a2 is an updated version which has surge brakes and uses an 8 bolt pattern wheel which is common on GM M1008 and Dodge M880 3/4 ton trucks from the '70s and '80s as well as the Humvee.
