Regardless of the pedal fell, an oversize master cylinder could possibly overdrive the throw-out bearing, causing leaks and/or seal damage. There are a number of generic master cylinders available from Wilwood brakes that could work for you. Since your pedal ratio is a little below the standard 5.0-7.0 ratio you might consider going with a 13/16" or 7/8" master cylinder to compensate for the difference. A 3/4" master might work, or it might not have enough output to completely disengage the clutch.
