Divorced T-case question

I have read multiple times about the need to phase the intermediate & rear driveshafts on 4x4s with divorced transfer cases after using the low range. How critical is this? My W600 naturally have a divorced Rockwell 223 & I have never paid much attention to the driveshaft orientation, mainly because I rarely drive it. Does the input yoke & rear output yoke need to be oriented the same? Thanks, Bucky
