This truck was rescued 2-6-2006 from the barn you see in the picture. It has been there for 21 years. It belonged to a Government Agency from birth to 1985. Then it was donated to a non-profit organization in Los Altos Hills in CA. They used it for a back-up fire truck until the local fire department could show up. It had sat for the last 8-10 years without running. I got it home drained the fuel tank, put in some fresh gas, changed the oil, installed new points, cleaned out the carb, aired up the tires, installed a 12 volt battery (little extra power), hot wired the ignition (no key), hit the starter button and what do you know but it purred like a kitten. No brakes!! Took it for a drive down my driveway and back (2 miles), relied on the ebrake to stop. She ran great. Another one brought back to life.
