I repowered a 1948 Jeep Truck with a 330 Olds engine, 250hp and lots of torque. This truck went several years before I sold it. No problems with frame or running gear. Neither the frame or running gear of the jeep is as beefy as the PW. I would think a PW truck with a good frame and running gear would be no problem using an engine 440 cid or better. The jeep used a model 18 TC which is about half the size of the PW's NP200. My PW has the big non-syncro (spur gear) transmission. The gears are about the same size as a D4 Cat. Axles are usually the area needing some different configs, and there are a lot a companies that can built strong axles.
