The advice below about seperating electrical and air, dig deep, flag tape, is all good and correct. But please guys, don't try to save money on air lines by using PVC. I know lots of people do it but its just not safe. Copper, black iron, galvanized are all great. A failure in this type of material is most often a split that runs along the length of the pipe. Air gets out but its no big deal. PVC pipe doesn't fail that way. It shatters into many small pieces which is essentially shrapnel. I personally won't work in a shop that uses it and when I'm just visiting I check the pressure gauges to see that the line is safe before hanging around inside.
