Hard to tell value without seeing. But I know why others are
saying that $5000 sounds a little high. I think a lot of the
value relates to how good the sheet metal is and whether stuff
works right. If this is a rusty truck, for example around the
headlights, or if it is heavily dented elsewhere, dinged up etc,
then I think it may be priced too high. But if it were just
faded paint, but otherwise a very solid truck in good mechanical
condition, then $5000 is not so bad. By the way, the cardboard
interior can be easily replaced with new a new interior kit and
some dents on the roof can be bumped out easily.

But if you like the truck, you appreciate its history coming
out of your area, etc, then you should weigh this into the equation
also. What is it worth to have one now instead of looking for years?
So from my viewpoint, there are other considerations than just dollars
in making a decision of this type.

By the way, what state is this? Trucks this old in many parts of
the country are often in very poor condition...but from the Southwest
they might be very good.
