As to the answer to your actual question, the
answer depends on what you want to with said truck.
A '46 is a fun rig to run around in, show off & go
where other trucks fear to tread, but if you want to
drive long distances, haul people or stop quickly,
a later model may be what you need. The "value" is
based on your happiness with a trucks ability to
meet your needs. I'm sure a Subaru Brat "pick up"
has "value" to some but not me. The $ is secondary
to function in my opinion.
