y 8th grade science teacher (1966) told a story about a cross country ride (1924) w/ a bad radiator. they tried anything anybody reccommended- pepper, chewwing tobacco, rabbit pellets, rice. Pretty soon, they had stew boiling out of the radiator. Still overheated though.... I guess the theory is anything that'll circulate, it'll plug the hole under pressure.... but I'd remove the ends of the tube and soft solder it up at the tanks, it'll work as long as the rest of the radiator.
