Thanks Frank,

If you notice, the fire extinguishers that you buy at the local hardware stores are Not the same that you buy from a authorized fire extinguisher company. The next time you are in a store, check the lable on the one on the wall and it will tell you who is doing the refilling and certifing. Go to that place and you can buy a refillible one that will be right for your truck. They know. I bought one for about $55. It is even stainless so it looks cool. It costs about $15 bucks for a recert and refill after a year. The bottom line is that if you buy a cheap fire extinguisher, thats exactly what you will get.

Having a good one is like having a good helmet. Its a pain until you need it, then you wish you had the best that money could buy.

Best Wishes
Lonnie

PS I was alone in a computer center when the halon system went off. Quite a site. At the time they were looking to get rid of them because they were very expensive to recharge do to the bad stuff they do to the enviroment, and they were dangerous. The server rooms are back to using locallized water sprinklers again.
