I was able to pick up a nice Dayton Electric Winch rated at 8500 pounds. I want to put it on my trailer in case I find an orphan PW needing a home.

There are 3 heavy wires coming off the starter like motor, all leads come off 3/8" studs.

One lead is on the brush end and is red
the other two leads are off the drive end, Blue and Yellow. The Model is 5W 6585B, made by Dayton Electric Mfg. I cant find them listed on the web.

Does any one have one of these and know which cable is ground. The other two must be for power in each direction. I realize that I need to hook up selnoids to power the motor from the battery. Or is there a standard wireing convention on these motors.

Thanks
Paul
