Jeff,

If you have the original carburetor, the oil filler cap should be non-venting. Located on the oil filler tube, about three or four inches below the cap, should be a threaded boss angled towards the passenger side of the cab. Into this boss threads a flared tube that looks like a very large brake line. The tube travels up and over the cylinder head. The other end of the tube threads into a brass elbow that attaches with a brass reducer to the carburetor's air horn. This tube provides fresh air, that is filtered by the carburetor's air filter, to the crankcase which in turn is sucked out through the Donaldson Valve (PCV valve) and into the intake manifold.

Using this correct routing setup, your blowby will be directed to the carburetor and recirculated through the combustion chambers. The flow through the system will be in the reverse of the direction that it was intended, but will help avoid the mess you now have coming out of the oil fill tube.

If you do not have the correct carb and the attaching hardware, you can get by with a vented filler cap and draft tube as mentioned earlier. Vintage Power Wagons and other suppliers should have the original parts that you need.
