I have a 96 1 ton dodge van, the brakes are to small. I have 89,000 miles on this truck, bought it new, and had 5 brake jobs done, the rears used to wear at the same rate as the fronts until we discovered you could put wider shoes than were original. 2 inch up to 2 and a half. still have the problem in the front. I was talking to some mechanic friends and they all agree the factories don't put big enough brake on vehicles today. If you have a durango , there is an aftermarket kit to put larger rotors on the front. My van has 2 diffrent rotors that could have been used, The ones on my truck are for a 4 wheel anti lock braking system, no others fit, seems the factory screwed up.( no 4 wheel anti locks)
