Yes, an inline six is naturally balanced, as far as the internal forces go, and I have gone to great lengths to make sure the crank, rods and pistons are weight-balanced, but I don't think those are the same thing as the torsional balancing that a harmonic balancer is meant to handle. I think those are different vibratory modes.
There were a lot of applications in which Dodge/Chrysler used balancers on these engines, but not this application, I don't think.
In any case, I think it'll be alright without one of this application.
