I have a friend that rebuilt his about 4 years ago, striped block taken to machinist, shaved head/deck, reground cam 7 tappets, reassembled by machinists, $3500.00 so $4-5K is in the ballpark if you’re planning to have the machinist do it all. If your truck is not having issues with overheating coolant or water in oil, magnafluxing shouldn’t be an issue.
